Conference Programme and Online Registration: 4th Annual Conference

The The Collective: Women in Legal Philosophy is holding its 4th Annual Conference next summer, on 13th June 2026 at Worcester College, University of Oxford and online. We are grateful for the generous funding and support from the University of Oxford's Law Faculty, the University of Illinois Law and Philosophy Program, the Mind Association, and the UK Society of Legal Scholars.

The keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. Sophia Moreau, Samuel Tilden Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy, New York University. The title of Prof. Moreau’s lecture is Role Obligations within Unjust Institutions.

Following a competitive peer-reviewed Call for Papers, we will be discussing the following three papers:

  • Lauren Ware, The Nature and Value of Emotional Suffering in Criminal Punishment

  • Talita Ferrantelli, Defeating Sexual Consent

  • Nina Varsava, Authority and Acceptance

We hope to distribute papers 2 weeks before Conference and a Teams link will be distributed in the week leading up to the conference to those who have registered to attend online.
